Mr. McNiel earned his Juris Doctor from University of Denver Sturm College of Law after receiving his Bachelor of Arts from University of New Mexico. Licensed to practice law in 2004, he began his career as an associate at Winstead, PC and later at Sedgwick, Detert Moran & Arnold. Prior to joining Calhoun Bhella & Sechrest as a partner in 2013, he served as a principal or partner at McNiel Law Firm, PLLC and Deans & Lyons, LLP.

Mr. McNiel represents clients nationwide in complex commercial litigation, particularly in real estate and construction matters involving claims of tortious interference, design defects, mechanic's lien disputes, and multi-party litigation. His broad client base includes developers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, lenders, brokers, realtors, escrow agents, and title insurers. He also represents clients in high-stakes business litigation involving contractual disputes.
